The Buraggi family that is originally from the Val Sciusa area had moved to Finalmarina and between the 17th and 18th century owned two prestigious palaces.

The Buraggi family that is originally from the Val Sciusa area had moved to Finalmarina and between the 17th and 18th century owned two prestigious palaces.

The Calvisio villa was architected on the model of the prestigious palaces with large gardens that were built during the 16th century by the Genoese aristocratic families in the countryside around the city and were used for leisure and holidays.

Buraggi villa presents itself as a large palace with a majestic double exterior staircase that ends with a loggia that has a terrace on its façade.

On the perimeter of the roof there is a series of white marble busts made in “ancient style” that refer to roman celebratory sculpture.

Two stone lions at the entrance gate hold the Buraggi coat of arms.

The site is set along the road that goes from Finalpia towards Vezzi Portio, in the locality of Calvisio.

The villa is currently private property and cannot be visited.
